Hornady uses only the top of line powders and primer chemicals in their 17 HMR 17 Grain V-Max cartridges. The Hornady 17 HMR is a purpose built varmint round designed to give excellent performance within 200 yards. The flat trajectory will ensure top notch performance right out of the box.
